Our Story
NextGen Resurgence was created to discover, develop, and deploy the next generation of leaders to fulfill their calling. We are calling this a Ministry Fellowship, borrowed from a Medical Fellowship program. Participants are called Fellows. Through mentorship, local church partnerships, and paid full-time ministry opportunities, we are helping leaders embrace their calling, grow deep roots, and multiply their impact throughout Colorado and beyond.

What is NextGen Resurgence?
NextGen Resurgence is a leadership development and ministry initiative focused on helping the next generation of leaders step into their calling. It is designed to help existing Nazarene churches thrive and help the Colorado District Church of the Nazarene grow. NextGen Resurgence is also about the Cycle of Resurgence: BLESSING Our Community, BRINGING People to Jesus, and BECOMING Christlike Disciples!
Who is NextGen Resurgence designed for?
NextGen Resurgence is designed for emerging and developing leaders who feel called toward something new and bold that will impact people and communities for Christ.
What kinds of opportunities are available?
NextGen Resurgence offers opportunities for emerging lead pastors, missionaries, and church planters. NextGen Resurgence is also for churches interested in investing in leaders called to these roles in Colorado.
Do I need to be ordained or fully licensed to apply?
No. We are looking for leaders, first and foremost, who are called and committed to the Great Commission. However, NextGen Resurgence leaders must align with the mission, theology, and doctrines of the Church of the Nazarene. Leaders must also enter into the licensing and ordination process if they are not already ordained. The Church of the Nazarene is a Wesleyan-Holiness evangelistic denomination.
Are opportunities limited to Colorado?
Current opportunities are primarily focused within Colorado, but the long-term vision of NextGen Resurgence is to create a multiplying movement that inspires and develops leaders throughout the 78 districts in both Canada and the United States.
